Registration

Before you get going, you need to register your details with us.  If you are entering more than once we ask that you register using seperate e-mail addresses.

• We don't ask for much information, and it's simply to ensure that we can get in touch with you if you win.
• We don't send spam, and we certainly won't pass your details onto anyone else.
• Once you've filled out the very short form you will receive an e-mail confirmation from 'fantasy at batpak dot net'.
• Make sure you've paid your entry fee (€10) using one of the three payment methods available.
• You're ready to pick your first team, which will be for the Premier League fixtures to be played on 13th-15th August.

Team Picks

The Objective of this competition is very simply to correctly predict a winning team in each set of Premier League fixtures.

• You start with a Single life.
• For each set of Premier League fixtures you must pick a team that you think will win its match.
• If your team wins its match, you progress to the next round.
• If your team does not win its match(ie. a draw or a loss) you lose your life and you're out of this specific competition. (Don't worry another will start once the current one ends).
• Once you have picked a team, you cannot pick that team again (i.e. you can only choose Chelsea once...)
• The last person remaining in the competition by correctly predicting winning teams takes the prize.

Prizes

The size of the prize depends very much on how many people enter the competition.

• We calculate the prize fund by adding together everyone's entry fee (€10) less €3 per entry for BatPak's Fundraising for the 2011/12 seasons.
• If fifty players take part, the winner takes home €350, a hundred players and the prize would be €700
• The winner of each Premier Picks Competition is the last player to have correctly picked a winning team.

Fundraising

The main reason why we are doing this competition is so that everyone taking part can have some fun, while making a small contribution to our fundraising campaign.

• Last year our Softball Club raised approximately €3,000 which was spent primarily on our participation in the ECCS Tournament in Slovenia.
• This year we do not have the fortune to be taking part in such a tournament, however each season requires new equipment, be it a new bat for the team, game balls or training aids.
• For every €10 entry fee, we take €3 to cover the costs of running the competition and to contribute toward our fundraising.
• So on behalf of everyone at BatPak Softball Club, thank you in advance should you take part in the competition.
